"Michael at reception was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed with regards to my room and food/drink. My room was clean, very peaceful and had a good sized desk and office chair so I was able to work during my stay. Food was nice and generous portions. The air con was fantastic in this hot weather. Overall an excellent hotel for business. I will be back!"

"This is a really good hotel. The location is great for the theatres and cinema in Nottingham. It's in front of Rock City and a 20 min walk from the station. There are good restaurants nearby but the hotel also has 2 restaurants, room service and bar meals. It's worth upgrading to use the Club Lounge too. Comfy beds, quiet rooms and a bath! Theres a pool and soa too. No complaints!"

"Quality establishment with individual character (eg original modern art works throughout the hotel) well maintained in a lovely part of Nottingham within a short walk of the city centre. Has a small car park for an additional charge. Excellent breakfast."

"Rooms were clean. The mattress wasn't the best, it was very uncomfortable. Shower in the bathroom wasn't ideal. No hose shower and the water temperature wasn't stable. Staff when you saw them were helpful but the wait to check in wasn't ideal. The walls in the rooms are so thin I could hear other guest from the rooms around me. Breakfast wasn't hot."

"We did not receive the service we paid for. There is no 24/7 front desk as advertised. During the whole of our one night stay we did not see a single member of staff. On arrival, we communicated with a man via the doorbell and were told a code to open the door and then another code to retrieve our keys from a cupboard. There were no towels in our room, we had to request these via the doorbell. There was no bottled water as advertised. The room was not very clean - there were cobwebs on the wall,...

"Asked for a room not facing the main road and got a room facing the main road."

"The booking in was a major issue . When you are travelling from Canada and you have to book in on your phone, it is difficult. The scanning took 5 times. I had to find a room that wasn't bright that would accept the scan. When I had to do the deposit the code from the bank disappeared quickly and to refund it I lost the original forms. This was frustrating. The elevator was broken. I am 71 and had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase. Lucky I didn't have a heart attack !!"
