"Great experience at the Met. Very well kept, great breakfast, and easy access to several trains. It’s important to know it’s in a relatively residential area, not in the thick of the tourist areas, so restaurants, and attractions are a train or bike ride away. For us that was a plus. Only minor critique was that we could have used a mini fridge because multiple grocery stores are nearby but the room was otherwise comfortable and well appointed. "The hotel is great honestly. Maybe not as close to the center but the rooms are spacious, the hotel is well maintained, there were different nglish language channels on TV. There's a very nice park infront of the hotel Rambrandt park. An 8 minute walk to amsterdam lelylaan station which is a small train station you can go to zaandam from that not needing to go to Central station. It is also a 5 minute train ride from there to the airport. There's also a tram station 2 minute walk from the hotel...

"The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The environmental aspect and pride employees who represent of Park Places show is apparent and helps guests acclimate and enjoy Amsterdam, Vondelpark area in particular. You can walk to hub communities, pick up a bike from the hotel and ride the park, and pick up the #2 Tram to the canals easily from the hotel."

"The breakfast was very good and the room was wall-to-walled bed. We had no standing room and it was crowded space with a toilet being the only seat. It's mostly a Muslim area, but everyone was very nice. The greatest feature about the location where the stores that were just a few yards away, and the tram was right there, and the staff was really so nice and polite and helpful."

"The staff was very helpful. It started when I came in the door. It had a nice restaurant attached to it with sandwich and other options. There was a nice breakfast and typical breakfast prices. The bed was comfortable. The shower was a corner and small in my room. Might not work for a bigger person. Overall a great and comfortable place. "

"Very well located- 5 minute walk to tram,1 minute walk to grocery,15 minute walk radius to a good assortment of international restaurants, FoodHallen, Vondelpark, Museumplein, Leidseplein. This is a family owned and loved older hotel, not a modern resort. (Adjust your expectations.) Americans be warned they don't use shower curtains. (We aren't used to this practice.) "Lovely hotel and our second time visiting, the only thing we weren’t keen on was the new self check in service, it just felt quite impersonal! We preferred it when there was a proper reception. Other than that, more food options where reception is would be handy as there aren’t too many places local. Nice hotel but these are just personal preferences. Staff helpful when they were there."
