"I loved this hotel, it was in a very convenient location with train and buses close to the door and nice restaurants nearby. I enjoyed the 5k run from the hotel to the harbour as suggested on the wellness page of the hotels website. Only downside was being woken by a fire alarm which was a human announcement in my room - for a brief moment in my half asleep state I thought the person was in the room with me but it was just a tannoy announcement!"

"Lovely welcoming attentive staff, great breakfast and spacious room. Nice pool too. I gave four stars instead of five because our room had aircon issues so we were cold the whole time. The tech came but it was a bit of a ‘wait and see’ situation and by the time we got in after our night out, we were too tired to request changing rooms."

"It was my first visit to The Porter House and I was generally happy with my stay. I had asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, which they were able to accommodate. It was a lovely touch to see my name displayed on the TV when we entered the room, and a bottle of wine and a hand-written card. It's the little things that made the stay enjoyable. The check-in staff were also very lovely and helpful. I really appreciated them. Rooms: Spacious enough for 2 people. The bed...

"Very clean and well appointed room. Friendly, helpful staff. Appreciated the focus on sustainability (reusable water bottles in the room, filtered water station on each floor, reusable cloth shopping bag in each unit). Location was excellent, within easy walking distance of many attractions, restaurants and shopping areas including Darling Harbour and Barangaroo. Really enjoyed our stay very much!"
