"I booked a non-refundable room at this place in December 2025 with a planned stay in mid April 2026. Mexico then decided to start dragging people out of their cars and suffering general drug related terror spread throughout their country. I asked the hotel if they would consider a refund for my stay as I was understandably not comfortable going there any longer, Delta Airlines had no problem with it and gave me my money back; as good customer service and future guest retention would suggest....

We also had issues with hot water—after calling reception, they said it was fixed, but the same problem happened again the next day. Food and drinks at the hotel were extremely expensive. "Our experience was terrible the first room we went into had food smeared on the walls and the tv missing from the wall with cables hanging out. They moved us to a second room that had no hot water & maintenance was unable to fix. We were charged for a missing bracelet that was never lost. Our room key lock was broken so we had to get rescanned at the front desk every time we needed to enter. Both rooms were dirty. Never staying again. "Big rooms with kitchen. One bathroom glass door was missing and one stove burner was not working. Ocean Views at the room are amazing but the beach is very dangerous and swimming is never permitted. We will not return. Staff was seldom nice only three were nice of many that we spoke with. Most employees were afraid of management. Too sad."
