"Overall this is a super hotel in a great location - next to the river and right in the older part of Melaka. The staff are excellent. There are a couple of minor 'howevers' from our 4 night stay: the bar wasn't open at all; and the restaurant was focused entirely on providing iftar buffet suppers. But, when, on 2 of the nights we stayed, we explained that we were staying in the hotel and wanted to eat in the restaurant (from the a la carte menu), the restaurant staff bent over backwards to accommodate us, even though this must have caused then significant inconvenience. We were happy, but it was unfortunate that the limitations with the restaurant and the bar were not communicated at the time of booking, so that we could either have decided to accept them or to book a different hotel."

The key to the room was filmsy and couldn't be inserted into the slot for lights properly, causing us to switch keys several times and almost change hotel. The bedsheets were a little dirty. There was no traffic lights to cross to get to the hotel. We had to run across the highway."
