The room was clean, staff allowed us to pick our room out of 2 available. The place in a good location to the water taxi and views but no Restuarant close by it was 1/2 hour walk away from town, hard go, with hills and beach walking. The beach restaurants close at 5-530 pm. We had a good time at the pool.

The room was good and had a great view from the balcony. There were a few broken items in the room like the patio door handle and lamp. Some of the pots and pans were in really rough shape. The first few days the pool was great but the last few the bottom was covered in a yellow pollen like substance.
Our stay in the basic room at Bahia Bonita was wonderful. The location is great… right at the end of the Beach Pier. The room is small but has the essentials. It is new and very clean. The view of the Yelapa bay is amazing and if you like to people watch this is a great place to see life happening around you.
CBB is conveniently located by the main pier. It’s away from the main town which makes it very quiet. The views are the best! The staff was incredibly helpful as well. There is about a .5 mile walk across the beach to town which can be a lot so be mindful. All in all, we’d stay here again if we were to revisit.
Amazing five star view!!! Clean , spacious room. No hot water in the shower. Staff not readily available. Walkable and easy to find. Will return for location and view.

Positive: Easy communication with owner. Very friendly staff, everyone seems friendly in Yelapa.
Stayed in adjacent small house rather than hotel but great view, balcony, giant iguanas in the tree right in front, hot enough water, air conditioning. Place is opposite from main village, therefore less people, you’re right above the water, wonderful mornings and evenings. This time of year to reach the main village for dinner - there are several good restaurants, the best one is Los Abuelos - you have to cross the river where the lagoon breaches the beach, knee to ! high depending on time of day.
Negative: the tiny room at ground level they showed us initially was completely different from any of the pictures. I immediately talked to the office and they accommodated us on the second floor, which was larger, balcony, acceptable. But I do not appreciate stuff like that. You pay half when you reserve and half when you get there. Obviously people use a credit card but then when you get there, their machine can only do Mexican pesos and exchange rate the owner gives you is unfavorable. Had to request the garbage getting emptied twice on day 4, there was no room service unless asked for. No mirror in the bathroom ? Refrigerator freezes everything. But still nice to have the refrigerator. So, 3 stars seems about right

Nice folks. Been there 7 times over the past nine years. They did charge me about 230 pesos over the agreed upon price on check in saying it was because I used expedia. Never happened in the past. Seemed uncalled for, considering I have been there 7 times.
Quaint little property right at the hotel pier the water taxis pickup and drop off visitors. A bit of a climb to get to your room but nothing strenuous. Stayed in the Eclipse room for two nights and my wife and I had an enjoyable time. Free wifi. AC. Small mini fridge. Comfortable bed with mosquito net. Only real downside was the shower didnt seem to have hot water and there was no tv. But all in all we had a great experience. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
The property was constantly being cleaned and repaired during my stay. One day they were using a very toxic smelling paint and I had to leave the property. No hot water, bug nests in the ceiling, terrible wifi. No frills for a steep price. Zero personality considering the area. The convenience to the pier and the tiny pool dont make up for the lack of anenities including no cafe onsite.
No air conditioning. No WiFi. Window was open so up to six different lizards running around in the ceiling. The bed had a netting that could be draped over the bed but it couldn’t be used since full of bugs and a dead lizard in it. Water in the shower was only a few drops so made it difficult to shower. The toilet flusher was broken so each time to flush involved opening the tank and pulling the chain manually. Be aware it’s cash only business. Very rustic and very hot since only a fan. Nice location very close to the ocean.
Our three nights at Bahia Bonita were wonderful! It was only a 3 minute walk from the water taxi pier to the property. We were pleased to be met at the pier by staff who helped carry our luggage. The view of the bay and beach is incredible, and you can hear the water all night, regardless of which room you’re in. Our unit had a partial ocean view off of the balcony, but we only had to go down the steps and sit on the large Deck area overlooking the water… There are tables, chairs, and lounge chairs there for guest use… It is an amazing spot to hang out, play cards, etc. our unit had a kitchenette with stove and small refrigerator, plates, utensils, etc., but no microwave or oven. There is plenty of fresh drinking water available outside the unit. Very friendly staff that greeted us at check-in…. it only took two minutes and we were on the way to our room with key. There are a lot of steps, but very well worth it as long as you are in decent shape. Oh, I forgot to mention the small infinity pool it also has the same incredible view. There are the typical beach restaurants about a 7 minute walk across the sand.. Walking to the village is an additional 10–15 minute walk, with more steps. Village has a few more places to eat, and a few small grocery stores. We definitely hope to return to Casa Bahia Bonita!
This was our second visit to Casa Bajia Bonita. Our first stay last spring was for three days… this time we stayed for five days. Yelapa is a unique experience, combining, a laid-back village vibe overlooking a gorgeous beach. The property here takes full advantage with a large deck area overlooking the water, and no more than a one minute walk to the beach. The staff is friendly and responsive, but generally not around during the evening and overnight hours. We chose the smaller unit in back with a parcel Ocean view. Upon arrival, we noticed that the partial view was almost entirely blocked with palm tree branches, We notified the staff, and they promptly brought someone in to trim back the branches to restore the view that we had last spring. I can imagine that the views from the front facing larger units are truly amazing, but we were satisfied with the value that we received in our studio unit that had cooking facilities and small refrigerator. Lots of steps here, so if you have mobility issues, this property is not for you… In fact, the entire Yelapa experience would be quite difficult with the many steps to get from the beach up to the village. We look forward to returning and will be quite pleased to stay at Casa Bahia Bonita again!
