"The AC eventually cooled the room. The room was clean and the facilities were like an older 3- star hotel in the USA. We did not have breakfast and coffee is only available for breakfast patrons before 10am. There is only instant coffee in room. There were no washcloths which I should have expected. This is not somewhere I would want to spend more than a day but if you need a hotel after a super late night flight - it is perfect!!! "

"Wir mochten den Charme der Unterkunft direkt. Sie ist einfach aber schön eingerichtet und hat das, was wir erwartet haben. Die Nachbarn über uns waren wegen der Holzdecke gut zu hören, aber unseren Schlaf hat es nicht beeinträchtigt. Auch die Lage in einer Sackgasse war ruhig und trotz der Nähe zum Flughafen hat man nachts nichts diesbezüglich gehört. Ich kann das Hotel als gute Ausgangslage für alles Ecken der Insel empfehlen."

Some long waits for food at restaurant but island time isn’t a bad thing! Close to the airport but a bit far from Apia and other attractions in Upolu so bring cash for taxis. Best spot to book in Samoa!"

"We stayed at the Islander Hotel for our last night in Rarotonga before heading back to Australia the following morning on an early flight. Staff were lovely. The room was ok but a few stains on the bed head put me off! Bed was comfortable. There was a t.v in the room but no remote and didn't seem to be working at all. Went across to the restaurant for meals. Good views, food well priced, good entertainment on. The beach bar does play music til around 10.30-11pm so no chance of an early night,...

"stay was pleasent. Towels were rationed. wash(face) clothes none exist. bath fixture were starting to bubble (due to the humidity). Pool was a relief from the humidity. Probably the warmest pool i been in (no water heaters)"

"The windows in the suit do not have screens, and I talked to the hotel. They spent about 90 minutes in and out of the room and told me they cannot find the right size of screen for the windows. Also the carpet is very old and dirty and has a moldy and rotten smell, hurt my throat, and difficult to breath. Also all the window sills are very dirty. It is not in a livable condition. I talked to the front counter manager, and he finally go me a room on the last night. This room is a little better,...

" Great place to stay on the island. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it’s just a 15-minute walk to Matira Beach, as well as great dining spots like Lucky House. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Breakfast has limited options, and the menu is fairly simple, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby to explore, so it’s not a major issue. There’s also an Avis location about 10 minutes away where you can rent a car or a motorcycle, which is very convenient for getting around. "
