Staff number one. Excellent food. I had the chance to have a room sea view which was excellent. Room was clean and with the necessary amenities, with a big balcony. I did enjoy my stay in the hotel.

We stayed 7 nights and I’ll start out by saying it is convenient to stay at this all inclusive resort. The beach is nice as well. The buffet was pretty bland and boring by the end and making reservations with the restaurants on site is a pain! The included alcoholic drinks are weak af and you definitely gotta tip to even feel tipsy. Our room had an air conditioning leak on at least 2 occasions. The first time the leak soaked everything we had on the counter by the sink. Our friends we went with had a leak on their bed after a rain storm went through. The area is nice and you see a lot of wildlife. I’m not sure it’s worth it in the end though.

I am a firm believer in giving an honest opinion so people know what to expect. Check in was easy got there a bit early so only 1 of 3 of our rooms was ready but we got our bracelets and was able to go change in the room that was ready and then go grab some lunch by the time that was done we were able to get the rest of our rooms. Rooms were clean and spacious a bit dated but they worked. All rooms were thatched roof with just a sheer fabric between you and the roof so hearing the wind and animals was a bit louder than normal but air worked and tv had several english channels so in the evening was able to watch movies. Grounds were pretty and decent sized pools. Also wonderful spacious beach area. Things i would improve is another bar open during the day other than the pool bar. Also the snack bar closes 1 hour after lunch buffet so not very convenient. Not many entertainment crew activities throughout the day only like 4 then the nightly show that doesn't start until 9:30. The buffet kinda had few options because it seemed like the same thing most evenings and dont get me started about the specialty dinners. Trying to book those is a nightmare have to go see a guy at a desk starting at 8:30am but if your not in line at 8 chances are no reservation and even if you are plus the 1 time we got a reservation out of 3 tries the food was not very good. Would I go there again maybe but i am a very laid back person if you like lots of options not the place for you. Shopping a 15 min

Honestly the BEST customer service i've had in a long time. Travelled with 7 girls for a bach. It was a small resort, walkable, clean and the team was unbelievably kind. Special shout out to Jorge the Chef. I am celiac and he walked me around the buffet telling me what was safe and what wasn't & even brought me my own dessert! So kind & accommodating, would recommend!

This resort is definitely a very pleasant and safe place to visit with the family. The attention of the employees is excellent, there is a great variety in the buffets, and the a la carte restaurants also offer a very pleasant experience. Its location on the beach is perfect and very close to Downtown Playacar.

This is the second time we stayed at allegro playacar and it was even better than the first time! This time we brought our kiddos (12 & 15) and they had a blast too! Always something to do. We had a fantastic stay at the Allegro Playacar. The view and beach was stunning. The beach was so clean with beautiful sand and easy access to walk right into the sea. The resort had great food that changed daily with no shortage of options for all preferences. The staff was all very helpful, kind and happy to be there.

Breakfast was great! Go get the French toast. Load up on it because the lunches and dinners aren’t the best. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant the waiters may not even come to you. I strongly recommend sitting by the Italian restaurant The events coordinator was a blast

Excellent property with an amazing beach. The room they gave us initially smelled terrible but they quickly relocated us to a different room. The buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was very good. If you stay 2 nights or less you don’t get an option for alacarte. However, I shared that we were celebrating our 28th anniversary and they were able to get us a reservation. We would definitely return!

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Small resort, but every area was within walking distance which was especially useful when walking back-and-forth from the pools to the room. Food was delicious and there were several options to choose from.

The service was second to none. Although I’ve seen negative reviews about the meals, we really enjoyed them. The beach was awesome! The pool always had activities going on and a fun environment. As other reviews indicate, the rooms are dated and require some tender loving care but we were not there for the room. The grounds were kept very clean and well maintained: thw whole process for booking an a a la cartes was a bit ridiculous as they had theme nights at the buffet for the same meals.having said that, the staff were great and the meals delicious, the drinks awesome and the beach was unbelievable! What’s not to love?! We got a great price on our rooms and had a fantastic experience. Thank you allegro Playacar!

We always come back to Allegro when we travel to Playa del Carmen. The staff is always friendly especially Bernardo Bernal and Ricardo in breakfast room. They were very helpful and attentive. The rooms were updated from last time. We love the beach since it’s so close. A recommendation the night shows need to be updated, have more variety.
