"Can't sleep well because can heard the sounds of footsteps going up and down the staircase clearly.Only one bigger bathroom, others are too small.The locker in my bed was spoiled and couldn't lock.Breakfast is only bread and jam everyday, and I found a lot of ants on the table and no staff realised until I told one of them to clear them.However,staff are friendly and the location of hotel is quite strategic."

"Comfortable bed. Decent hot shower. Lockers in the dorm that appeared to be secure. Unusually for a hostel, they provided shampoo and handwash in the showers and bathroom. It's rather spartan but is relaxing and enjoyable. Has most things you need. The one thing lacking was a kettle."

"I arrived to this property after midnight, but the owner welcomed me with a smile. He even prepared me a tea in the morning, explained how to explore George Town in a day (coz I was there for one day only), even help me sorted with my lost baggage issues. Would stay more days in the future trip to Penang."

"On arrival thought the place was very good, easy checkin, friendly staff, decent sized room etc. Easy walk in the evening to Chullia St Hawker Stalls for a really good meal. "There was no one to open the locked front door when we arrived. Had to call up their contact number and the concerned person reached after 5-10 minutes while we waited outside with all our luggage. There is no front desk staff most of the time which leaves us with none to help with any needed information. The room is extremely congested as well."

"This homestay reminds me my childhood memory, where i used to stay at my grandma's house when i was young. It is similar to my grandma's house in Melaka. All the staffs here are kind. "The staff is very welcoming and kind. The lobby downstairs is very comfortable to sit in for long periods. I wish they kept the snacks stocked but I guess that was minor. Decent location, mediocre service
"Airconditioning turns on and off every 10 minutes. Room phone not working so you have to go to the lobby to complain. Complained with the receptionist, says the maintenance crew will attend to my room, does not come at all. Took a 3 bed room, came with only 2 sets of pillows. Complained about this, same case, housekeeping did not come either. Thankfully only stayed one night. Staff not equipped to handle high occupancy rate. Only saving grace for the hotel is it's location and convenience. Everything else is below average. "
