"Lifts were up and down ( pun intended) They were NOT working most of the time due to break downs. Weekday staff were very helpful during the lift problems. Weekend staff were indifferent Now to my shower. It flooded all over the bathroom floor both times I used it. Two repair people came to look at it and just concurred that it needed fixing but did not fix it Finally the server in the restaurant on our final night kept trying to upsell and her attitude was quite abrupt"

And there were no towel racks and not much storage space for our clothes. That is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. The toilet seat didn’t fit, there was toothpaste splatters all over the door, a huge crack in the sink, the sink didn’t drain properly and it was very dusty. It said VIP access and that you got a drinks credit of £17, we didn’t get that. The area is close to King’s Cross but a little sketchy. The staff were nice, helpful when we needed an iron."

"I don't stay in my room that often when I travel so I didn't mind the tininess of my accommodation. But I do like when there is a courtyard or a balcony where I can have a drink and read quietly. The George had neither of these and I missed them and felt confined to a stuffy room in June."
