"The room was very nice. Ours looked out over a lovely courtyard (which was especially good because the street itself I did not love. Very busy with fast food and souvenir shops). Separate toilet and shower, which is great. The bar downstairs was outrageously loud both (week)nights we were there. Like college-bar-loud. But the room was quiet. The location is very close to the British Museum and Underground stations. Not very impressed with the breakfast, but not terrible (and not included)."

"Good stay overall. Location is good and hotel is pretty basic as is expected of this price range. The check in process was not the best though with the staff providing us a slightly delayed check in which would have been ok but they were unapologetic and I felt like being blamed for asking for my room. Only one staff member was like that and others were fine."

"Lovely stay from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and efficient (just note there’s a £25 deposit, which I hadn’t expected). The room was spotless, and the little touch of chocolate on arrival was a nice surprise. The location is very central, making it perfect for getting around. Overall, a 10/10 stay—I’d happily return!"

"We were very comfortable - the only issue was with whoever serviced the room: it was done promptly, and the beds were made very nicely and the trash was taken out, but towels weren't fully replaced (hand towels and bathmat were taken but not replaced) dirty coffee cups and spoons were left in the room, coffee supplies weren't replenished and a window was left open, letting in flies and allowing the room to get overly warm. The tissue box was also empty and there was less than half a roll of toilet paper. It looked like whoever was servicing the room just didn't finish the job. Otherwise, our stay was very good. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was quiet, we enjoyed the great water pressure (once we figured out how to use the shower) and comfortable beds. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay again! Very convenient to the tube in a very nice neighborhood. 😁"

"Stay at the Hoxton was disappointing. As I work nearby, I’ve often booked guests into the hotel but never stayed myself. So this was a first, and based on the one night, I found the place unremarkable. Ground level foyer is stylish and buzzing but the bedroom was very ordinary. Some of the furniture really belonged to a downmarket B&B. Although check out was mid-day, the cleaning staff were knocking on our door at 10.30am. While room service seems to be offered for breakfast, the electronic menu was only made up of various side dishes. Overall, I’d say the place is not worth the price. In future, I’ll look elsewhere for accommodating guests."
