"The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff is very courteous and the premises are gorgeous. It’s nice to have a volcanic water pool even though in my opinion it should not be so hot. Both my girlfriend and I got a little dizzy after a while. I do recommend staying there though. The breakfast is fantastic! Location as well."

All staff were not only accommodating, but felt like friends, Joaquin, Luis, Jorge, Fernando, Leah and Justin, to name a few. "Our stay at Calalun was perfect. Calalun was in the perfect location, was private surrounded by gorgeous landscape and a beautiful view of the volcano. The owners were very accommodating and made sure our stay was comfortable and perfect. The bed was comfortable and the quaint apartment was clean and modern. "This is a gem of a place. Minimalistic with all the necessary stuff, neat and has a good view of the Arenal Volcano. Diana, the host was super helpful and attended to our needs. Loved staying here. It's also close to all the main attractions. Would definitely recommend. Thanks."

"The staff made this place extra nice. I asked to borrow their microwave on some leftovers and she even plated it nicely and gave us silverware to use. Breakfast is pretty good. I wished there was a screen on the patio door or window so I can leave it open for extra ventilation without letting bugs in. The room can get humid too. The bathroom is a nice size, but for some reason water easily splashes out of the shower and gets the floor outside of it wet."
