"It is on the quiet North Beach but surprisingly close to South Beach and Peasholm Park. There are bakeries and food shops nearby. I enjoyed the sea/castle view from my window, cooked breakfast which was nicely served and overall convenience. Noise-wise, a lot depends on other guests staying."

"It is an excellent location, beautiful sea view rooms overlooking south bay, close to local amenities, there is a lift to take you down to the seafront and back again, only cost £2.50, I recommend it for the view. Rooms are serviced every day, great friendly staff, great restaurant and it’s dog friendly too, don’t take my word for it! Just go and enjoy 😊 "

"Great pub in a quaint village within Scarborough near to all North Bay attractions. The rooms are all different, fitted out and decorated to a high quality standard. The pub area has a great atmosphere along with the dining areas. Food is of a very high quality and great portion sizes"

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

"I stayed with my dog and found the accommodation really good. Although my room could of done with a slight upate it was clean and spacious. I had a beautiful veiw of the coastline. The staff helpful and location was perfect. I will return next year to repeat my stay. "

"I had a very joyful moments as it was my first time in Scarborough. Hotel Location and scenery over the hill was amazing. There was a very good walkway towards beach and to the town centre that help us to have a lovely walk around the city centre and coast line. "

"We had a great overnight stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and very clean, with a fantastic view over the North Bay. It is in a very handy position for both bays and also Peasholm park or the Open Air Theatre. It’s only a short walk to the town centre and station. Handy parking outside and a very easy check in process. We will certainly book again next time we come to Scarborough. We saw a wonderful sunrise from the bedroom window and got some great pics😊"

"Very clean and well equipped. WiFi signal not very strong. We would stay again but only if the mattress was replaced for a better quality or given a decent topper. It was extremely uncomfortable and affected getting a good night's sleep. There were several comments in the guest book in the property, going back a while that mentioned the uncomfortable mattress, so the owners should be aware."
