Im sure some rooms are being used for gov't housing but all in all we had a decent stay for a show in Buffalo. Room was half the price of anything across the border or 25 min away in Niagara Falls. "WHAT a discovery! I loved my stay at Canalside -- the room was beautifully updated, but still had those historic squeaky wooden floors that remind everyone to be a little quieter (it worked!). The coffee maker produced great morning joe; the shower got hot almost immediately; the bed linens were soft and the towels were a perfect blend of absorbent and scratchy. "Don’t expect complimentary anything - not even a bottle of water. No water in the gym either - had to ask the staff to fill. If you bring your pet, don’t expect a nice area for them to do their “business”. The doggie bag area was full of used dog poop bags. We, obviously, weren’t happy with the choice of hotel this time - definitely not “Fallsview” worthy. Stay across the street at the real Marriott Fallsview - same price and they have AMAZING rooms!"

"The Sterling was a great hotel choice for our brief Niagara Falls visit. Its location is walking distance to Clifton Hill area but far enough away to be substantially quieter. The standout was the staff - our room was upgraded, and they delivered our breakfast extra early for a 7:30 am tour. The breakfast was delicious! A few minor things might need a bit of updating but we would stay here again if we ever came back to the area."
