"The Crown is a nice property. However, being in the City Center, the area is very congested and a bit unsavory. The walk to Old Oxford is fine. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel isn’t enjoyable for walking. The hotel location doesn’t lend itself to coming back and forth to the historical district during the day."

"Nice location in Iffley Village. Two nice pubs nearby. Attractive hotel building. Hotel terrace is also attractive for drinks and breakfast. Good standard of room and shower. Free parking. I would happily stay again."
"The room was unique, clean and well put together. The bed was soft and comfy. The rainfall shower was wonderful! The entrance at the side with the bar there was odd and not sure about the rubbish bins out front. The staff were helpful and easy to reach via email. The street noise was louder than the bar noise."

The hotel was otherwise clean and in good condition throughout.
Staff were friendly and welcoming but could be a bit more forthcoming with general info rather than needing prompts.
Car parking was ok but you had to pay by app to park.
The bathroom was definitely compact, but adequate and clean.
Overall we would stay again but it might not be our first choice"

At Breakfast, tables were not cleared; Food items not replenished etc. Staff were trying hard though it seemed.
Only one person at the Bar at one stage who had clearly not been trained sufficiently e.g. she did not know how to open a bottle of wine with a corkscrew and it broke."
