The hotel itself is very nice and well maintained. Unfortunately, when I booked through Expedia, it was not disclosed that the waterpark is closed on Mondays and Wednesdays. The sole reason for our one-night stay was to use the waterpark before returning to our home state the following morning.
Upon discovering the closure, I spoke with the manager and requested a refund so we could stay elsewhere, as this information was not clearly stated at the time of booking. The request was denied, and Expedia was also unable to offer any assistance. The lack of flexibility and customer service was extremely disappointing, especially considering this was only a single-night reservation.
While we were offered a $25 credit, it did not come close to resolving the situation, as the waterpark was the primary reason for our stay. Unfortunately, this experience negatively impacted the remainder of our trip. It is especially disappointing because this is a hotel we would have considered staying at again in the future, but the lack of empathy and customer service has resulted in a loss of our business.
