"We had a wonderful stay at The Boathouse! The location on the river and just a short walk from the city walls was absolutely perfect. No AC in the midst of a heatwave, but the open windows cooled the room down quite a bit. We loved the boathouse decor and our room felt so comfy and cozy. Staff were great and helpful. Also breakfast at the hotel itself was loverly… the choice was amazing from fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and cooked breakfasts. "The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"Staff were doing their best to help. Maintenance is poor, with a wonderful collection of black mould in the en-suite. Noise from the road is almost unbearable. I made the mistake of booking 2 nights and certainly won't be going back."
