The reception and breakfast room are in a different building, on a different road which was fine as the weather was dry. Buffet breakfast was great with good choice. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner which was also excellent. Staff were all extremely good. Would stay here again."

"Excellent location right in the city centre. I traveled solo for business and a bit of sight-seeing. Close to shopping/restaurants (Gunwharf Quay) and historical attractions. You get what you pay for - it's in an old building with poor ventilation. A few 'old building' smells and humidity lingers in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, all linens and towels clean and fresh. All staff were extremely pleasant easy to interact with. Nice breakfast at Keppel's Head was included."

"Good basic hotel near all the action and very close to one of the train stations (Harbour Port). Noisy during the day because hotel is beside a public square with crowds and live and recorded music. This didn't bother us. Entrance is in a strange place which was hard to find as we walked from the train station. Great shopping next door, lots of restaurants and tourist activities. No gym."

"For those planning to visit the dockyard, you can't get any better. We had a great view of HMS Warrior from our window. The hotel is directly across the street from the rail station and the bus station and about 100 yards from the main entrance to the dockyard. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The room was very modern and well kept."
