My husband and I actually said it spoiled us for the rest of our trip because no host or hotel has compared to her loveliness. "We booked last-minute and were lucky to get a lovely room. The staff were kind and helpful, even providing ice when one of our party hit their head on a poorly located room-safe door. The bed was comfortable but the sofa, which is also a pull-out, was not as it did not close fully. The breakfast buffet was excellent and varied, with both American-style and European-style dishes."

"As with all excellent properties, it’s the staff that makes them truly outstanding. Roberto of the front desk helped us arrange a water taxi before our drive in from Slovenia. He arranged for Clare the hostess to meet us and escort us to the taxi. Barbara served breakfast the next morning with cheerful energy. The room was elegant and had all necessary amenities. A nice additional updating touch would have been UBC outlets."
