"This Hotel hit all the spots for our small intimate family wedding for our daughter. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were perfect. The gardens were beautiful and well looked after a perfect setting for photographs. The food in the evening and at breakfast great and plenty of choice. A big thank you to all the staff."

"Lovely stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained throughout our visit. The back lawn/outdoor area was absolutely lovely and very relaxing, with a great atmosphere. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful despite it being an extremely busy bank holiday weekend. The food was really good throughout our stay and the bar area was a great place to unwind in the evening. Would certainly return."

"The room was super small, but the bathroom was decent size with a great shower. We had to store our luggage downstairs at the desk as only our carry ons could fit comfortably on the room. The breakfast that came with the room was the best we have ever encountered. We could order off the menu which had a good selection w/ great coffee and fabulous service!"

"This is a 15th Century building with the stable block converted into accommodation. The room we occupied was very large with all the usual amenities, pristine clean with a huge comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was comprehensive as was the dinner menu. My only suggestion is that a help yourself coffee and tea facility would enhance its facilities.Excellent hotel at the price."

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Avalon B&B. Nick was a superb host and the property as a whole was very clean and tidy. The rooms had everything we needed for our short stay and the breakfast options were great. The full English breakfast Nick cooked on our 2nd morning was the ideal start to the day for our long drive back up to Manchester. The town with restaurants, bars and shops is only a 4/5 min walk with the New Forrest also close by. All in all a great place to stay and would highly...

"Hotel staff and concierge were great. Breakfast was excellent for a buffet. The restaurant and pub seemed to have staffing problems and were not attentive. The facility is showing it's age, however. Still, it was convenient to the mall for shopping. A little to far to walk to the Horizon cruise terminal with any luggage, but the concierge hooked us up with a taxi."
