"Somewhat my fault for not recognizing this is sort of a hybrid Bed and Breakfast/VRBO type facility. Expedia did not really make that clear. Requires signing up for check-in web app to get entry code. No on-sight desk staff. Not a problem, but should be more prominent on Expedia listing. Promised evening dining options were not available due to apparent staff turnover. We had hoped to have a quick evening dining option that did not require driving/parking in Gatlinburg (roughly 1 mile...

"It was a decent stay, the thing that was bothersome was at night you really notice how loud the ac unit is plus you can hear the one above your window too. Its off the main strip but convenient to everything. We would probably stay again."

"Excellent weekend stay. Property is well located to enjoy all of the activities Gatlinburg has to offer, but removed from the overly crowded area so you have peace and quiet in the evening. Balcony overlooking the Little Pigeon River provided a welcome respite from the heat of the day. Property is well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff. Very accomodating for my companionndog. "Everything was just as it was advertised!! I was there with the Viper Owners Association for the weekend, running the Tail of the Dragon and it was perfect for that. Also, has enclosed parking which worked out great for us. Will be back next year!!"

"On checking in the room was very tired and dated. The balcony was unusable with no furniture and very small. Our room allocated was opposite the noisy lift. Even though we were staying at the hotel there is an unexpected $18 per day parking charge. It was the worst DoubleTree hotel I've ever seen. That bad we didn't stay and immediately checked out (never done this before). Interestingly the staff didn't seemed surprised we were not staying. Rubbish"

"The room was clean. I loved the fireplace. It made everything nice and cozy. The TV was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect! I never had an issue finding parking in their lot, and we were able to walk to all the main attractions within a few minutes. The staff was helpful and promptly provided me with extra soap, towels and TP when I asked. I recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be booking here again when I come back to Gatlinburg."
