"Excellent location as we were watching a show at the O2 arena. A piece of history in the middle of high rise buildings. It’s been lovingly restored and maintained with quirky design elements to it. They had great breakfast choices and had a relaxed atmosphere. I love these kinds of places. Just the relaxing weekend my husband needed."

"The property for us was very clean, well diverse, and had friendly and helpful staff. The location couldn't have been better suited with public transportation around London within a few minutes. All necessary stores was within walking distance, including restaurants, supermarkets and even a huge shopping mall. There is also lots of Caribbean (West Indian) heritage in the area and the hotel honored that with some rooms named after some Islands."

The room itself was lovely and decent sized, beautiful balcony and an amazing view of Canary Wharf one side and London the other. The bathroom wasn't dirty but definitely looked worn and needed a revamp. "Lovely older hotel with an amazing breakfast. Makes their own sausages.. uses free range eggs.. fantastic. Great location on the heath and about 10 min walk to blackheath station. They have traditional Sunday roast and afternoon high tea. Lovely hotel."

"Rooms do not have AC instead you are given a fan , which isn't sufficient when it's 31 degrees outside. Water pressure was low in our room so we could not shower until after 2pm despite reporting the issue at 10am. The room we were given was on the ground floor and did not have an outdoor area therefore we were unable to use this to dry our clothes outside in the warm weather.
