"Host was extremely hospitable, thoughtful, and friendly. We came around 10 at night after getting lost due to some map reading error and he was helpful in getting our luggage upstairs.
Very friendly guy with good sense of humour.
Comfortable, clean, and warm abode.
We plan on staying here next time we come, god willing."

"I would definitely stay here again when visiting Hakone. Easy and scenic walk along the lakeside from the bus stop or you can take the complimentary shuttle that runs every 20 minutes.
The staff both at the front desk and the Japanese restaurant were very helpful and spoke excellent English - we did not try the French restaurant so no review on that. We were checked in very fast and had our luggage held for a few hours after checkout. Food is average, but you can't beat the convenience and the...
