"The building is very old. With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan. "Disappointingly there were various issues with the room and then a couple of issues with one of the room services. The sink was blocked on my arrival for my 2 night stay, they told me that it would be unblocked the next morning but did to their credit eventually after a couple of hours, offer me a new room. I declined as I wanted to sleep after work and would have to collect the key. After coming back to the room after work the next day, the sink was no longer blocked however the sink faucet now...

It was also uncomfortably warm, not benefiting from any air conditioning although a desk fan was provided. "This place feels like an odd mix — some aspects feel like a hip boutique hotel while others seem a bit “budget.” There is no actual lobby or dedicated hotel staff in the evening, so you collect your key from the large bar on the ground floor. The rooms are nicely decorated and well appointed (eg, nice bathroom fixtures, Nespresso machine in room), though quite dark. Good location in historic city centre. Nice touches like a refrigerator on the corridor that has bottles of cold filtered water."
