"The staff from the time I arrived until I left were absolutely first class. Friendly, helpful and very welcoming. My room was impeccably clean, well decorated and light and airy. Breakfast is ordered on arrival or in the evening. The cooked breakfast was delicious, extremely well cooked and served by attentive and friendly staff. "Upon arrival, I was initially assigned an occupied room. The place was unstaffed, and the provided phone number was unreachable. I had to ask other guests for an alternative number. I called, texted, and left a WhatsApp message on that number, but received no response for at least an hour.When I finally received a text message with details for a new room, I found the bed was broken and the room was freezing cold. A staff member told me he would come to fix the issue but ultimately never showed...

"My hotel of choice when travelling through the Portsmouth area. Well furnished, relaxed feel. Nice bar food. Free safe and plentiful parking. Great breakfast . Friendly and helpful staff. All in all, a very pleasant stay."

"Breakfast needs more choice especially the fruit, the pears were hard as rock, no bananas, no fruit salad. No beans for ages, they need to keep an eye on the hotplates. Invest in a coffee machine so there's a variety. Maybe also a bell at the downstairs bar. "
