Room was a disaster. Dirty beds, sheets "cleaned" but had a terrible odor, Mold in the shower, Broken lockers, Exposed wires from bed lamp, Unsanitary and unsafe living conditions. Someone was messing with my bag in the middle of the night.

It’s a good option for staying close to the action in Madrid, the sol and gran vía area. It is also very affordable but unfortunately you can see that for being able to offer such low prices they are quite understaffed, and that results in long waiting queues at the checkin counter, and the minimal cleaning of the rooms.

The room and bathrooms were not clean and there is a lack of organization. I arrived and someone was in the bed they assigned to me, so I went to the front desk and they just said to take a bed that was free. Same situation with the lockers, and many of the lockers were broken. Staff comes in during the day and asks if people checked out or not waking everyone up. Since people are not in their assigned beds they do not know who is supposed to be there or not which seems like it can be a safety risk.

The bathrooms were clean. Rooms are very small hardly any soace between the bunks. Elevator was bit working and the staff had no idea when it will bw fixed and i was on the 5th floor.

The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. STAY AWAY. Filthy, dirty, smelly. The bathroom door had no lock – to keep it closed, you had to wedge a towel at the top. Everything is sticky, everything is dirty, the toilets reek, the showers are disgustingly filthy, full of mold and grime. At night, no one respected quiet hours. The atmosphere made you fear for your life and belongings. I didn’t sleep a wink because of the noise and fear. Worse than a prison cell.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Checkin took over 1 hour in line. Lockers were too small for my bag, had to rent of their storages at the entrance, they said I would get my 5 euro deposit back and it would be only 1.5 for the night. Completely false, during checkout a very nasty receptionist said she wasnt giving the 5euro back, it was a charge. To top everything off when i got back around midnight another guest was in my bed. Had to move him to get my stuff under the pillow and sleep in another bed. Bathroom door was broken, doesn't close, had to put by bag against it so people wouldn't walk in. Room was next to a very busy street at ground level. Awful night to say the least.

To begin with from less to worst: the room was too crowded of beds, could barely pass to my bed, some lockers were broken, bed not made, bathroom dirty, dust balls on floor, but I overlooked that and went to common area (dining room) which smelled terrible (every day of my stay at night time) regardless I sat to work on my laptop and a cockroach walked on my feet a guy stepped on it to kill it, I let staff know and they did nothing, asked for a refund to go somewhere else for the remaining days of my stay due to lack of the hygienic conditions, I was denied and manager never contacted me. At night the lamp from the patio stayed on all night long so the bedroom looked as it was daylight, no way to rest. After shower the bathroom and all bedroom was flooded! Nothing done from staff...
