"To begin with, the reviews are obviously fake. I should’ve looked at them more carefully, but I based my decision to stay at this facility had a lot to do with its 8.2 rating. There is review after review where the subject title is just Excellent and then the comment is clean room or blah blah blah but there’s no way that you know 15 people are leaving reviews and they all just say basically the same thing. The hotel has no lobby. You check in talking to a employee through a plexiglass...

"Staff were friendly and attentive and the check in/out was really easy. Parking was safe/gated. Breakfast was either a muffin or packaged oatmeal, but the hotel was walking distance to really good food of all kinds. We walked to and from Universal studios and Xavier even gave us a printed map to walk there from the hotel. There IS a free shuttle for part of the way (the steep part). We would stay here again."

"This was a great place to stay close enough to the beach for a whole day layover in LA (about a 15 min walk to Manhattan Beach). Its an older motel but the price is good! I'd stay here again."

"When we entered our room the fridge was turned off and open, there was no bags in the trash can and there was mold in the bathtub. We had been traveling all day and just needed a place to sleep so we did not contact management but was still frustrating. The outside area however is well maintained and looks very cute!"
