"The property is has a very convenient location. The staff was friendly and advised me that my queen room would be the side of a closet so we chose a double bed room instead. I wasn't too happy with the smaller bed, but was happy with the larger room. Having to get ice from the lobby was inconvenient and the bar was never open during my time there. Why promote it if it doesn't exist. The rooms were clean. Also, be aware that the have an additional daily charge that isn't disclosed on Expedia...

"Let's start with the elephant in the room: I've seen reviews from folks who talked about hidden fees. Nothing is hidden. "The Shoreham Hotel is an excellent location for enjoying New York City. You have all the advantages of midtown, but can also get to Central Park, upper East and West Sides, as well as downtown easily. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. I only wish the rooms had a refrigerator to store drinks and snacks, as well as a tea kettle for the mornings."

"A very nice hotel and location. A bit dated especially in the bathrooms. The towels need to be replaced. Threadbare. Our room had fruit flies. So annoying!!! The shower needs repair. Had to do a lot of manipulating to get warm water. The maids came every day and made the beds and gave clean towels, etc. That was much appreciated. Hence the 4 stars instead of 3."
