"It was perfectly fine for an overnight stay. Most important for me is a comfortable bed and it was. The credit card system was down so checking in was not smooth but the staff handled it great. My door key didn’t work on the side entrance so I had to go through the front entrance and it took a few times to work my room door. It was nice and quiet."

"The room's floor was very creaky and noisy. The bedside tables needed cleaned, and the sheets/duvet for the bed was gross. The faucet in the bathroom was not properly attached and moved around when you turned on either faucet. Water pressure was quite low from the sink's faucet. The microwave was peeling on the inside and rusty. At least the air conditioner worked."

"The light in the bathroom was both broken casting only a dark orange light. You could not see to shave or do makeup. Upon turning on the shower spray would be onto the floor owing to the fact that the shower head was not tightly attached to the pipe. We immediately advise the front desk of the light issue and the leak. They advised that no repair could be made until the next day. The next morning the person at the front desk was unaware of our complaint and filed a new complaint on our behalf...

Room had an overwhelming stench of wet dog and cigarettes, mold, mildew etc. The room did not seem to have been cleaned other than the sheets. The floor had dirt and filth on it. "We were excited to visit the Avon Inn and it exceeded our expectations. It is a delightful hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was big, with a comfortable bed and in room gas fireplace. The co-owner Jen was lovely to speak to and the history of the hotel is fascinating.
