"The hotel is generally very good, except not close to the city centre for tourists, though metro is nearby. Also, at the main entrance, we did not see any clear sign that there is a street-level entry (for anyone does not want to climb the many stairs). We actually carried two 20kg luggages up the stairs when checking in. We noticed the side entance later on during the stay."

"I stayed here in 2025 and I must say that I saw a huge improvement across the board at Hostel 165. It seems like some renovations may have been done. The staff were quite attentive and regularly cleaned the bathrooms, restocking toilet paper etc. There’s no longer a stove in the kitchen so there’s a lot less activity in a small area. The fridges are still overflowing and need to be cleaned down. Overall, I do recommend that Hostel 165 is a good option when staying in this area of Madrid."

"They didnt charge for an incredible breakfast assortment. We didnt need parking but they had on site parking. Very clean premises, a mile and 1/2 to walk to a most amazing mall! Its out of the city but we stayed not knowing the area. It was about 20 min by taxi to airport. But well worth it. Im not really a mall person, but a visit to that mall was great and made our stay fun. Loved this hotel!"

"This was an interesting stay. These are basically hotel rooms with a kitchenette, but it’s not exactly an aparthotel. The check-in process was easy and communication with the hosts was great. The building itself is in a bit of a run-down area of Madrid; I wouldn’t say it was dangerous, though. Parking in this area is a nightmare - if you bring a car, get ready to search for parking for a long while. The unit itself was fine - clean and in generally good condition. The unit we were given was intended for handicapped clients, but I did not know this in advance. The shower was definitively designed for disabled folks and was a bit difficult to use due to the shower head not being stable. The kitchenette was great - it had a sink, dishwasher, and a fridge/freezer. The unit also had a washing machine and drying rack, as well as an iron. The units are small but sufficient and have lots of extras that a standard hotel room wouldn’t have. Close to the metro and an easy walk to lots of stuff."
