Only limitation for travellers with car is no parking available so dont ended up with fine for wrong parking. Public transport is superb since LRT station is just 2 minutes walk. "Located less than 10 mins walk from Petaling Street Chinatown, also less than 10 mins walk to the LRT / MRT station. No issues during my stay, friendly staff and Wi-Fi worked. Room cleaning services not provided daily so do clarify when checking in so you are aware. A gym with a few machines and some weights. Washing machines and dryers on-site, pay at reception for token (around MYR 22), washing liquid included. My first stay at this hotel and I was happy with it. "

"Breakfast is terrible. Chef don't serve an extra piece of bread. No tea or drink if you late to have breakfast. I left a loaf of bread for the cook to serve others if someone asks. The apartment was superb. But WiFi was down for the whole day "
"Overall a nice experience for short birthday staycation with my son. Room is on the small side but equipped with all basic amenities needed. Small problem maybe is ants in room after I left donut overnight not securely wrapped. Love the rooftop swimming pool level, small but with nice view of kl city. Lobby area is lovely too, has nice welcoming feel to guest. Reception staff pleasant & with smiles. We would love to come again next time."

"Stayed in Room 2722 (Business Suite) on 21 June 2025 — extremely spacious, spotless, and impeccably maintained. A true 5-star experience. Check-in by Shermin was smooth and professional; she was warm, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcomed.
High tea was outstanding — far better than Hilton KL — with exceptional service from friendly, attentive staff. Huge compliments to Vicky, who once again went above and beyond. He remembered my pillow preferences and even sent four extra bottles of water without me requesting — an incredible touch showing true dedication to guest comfort.
Special mention to Alice at Shang Palace — exceptional service without pushing upsells, attentive and knowledgeable, making the dining experience very enjoyable. Regret not having the bird’s nest available as it requires 24-hour advance booking.
Check-out was fast and seamless. Breakfast was delicious, with a special mention for the sausages at Lemon Garden — presumably homemade — which, to date, I’ve only seen at Shangri-La. A rare standout in hotel dining!
Swimming pool is small but clean and functional — ideal for a quick dip.
Overall, this stay exceeded all expectations. From front office to housekeeping, every staff member delivered excellence. Special compliments to Sheila from the call center and Mia from reservations — both were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and proactive.
Highly commendable team. Shangri-La truly remains a benchmark for world-class hospitality.

"Check in started at 2pm, the front desk seem a bit stressed, our room was only ready at almost 4pm. It’s an old building with a not so “driver friendly” parking lots.
The 2 bedroom suites was spacious , the kitchen has all the things you need for cooking.
At night the streets here can be heavy traffic, so plan your activities.
Overall I think I would give a 7/10. If you are couple looking to get romantic honeymoon feel then you will get disappointed. "
