"Very impressed by all on offer. Room booked, first class value. Evening meal excellent As was breakfast. Have not had such attentive and prompt restaurant service "for many a year"! Hotel situation close to cathedral and castle. The reason for visit. Also close to long term parking as hotel does not have places for cars."

"Difficult to find and very problematic checking in. Digital check in never opened for me. The only way I was able to get into my room was that I was let in by a management person. I didn’t leave for dinner because I was afraid I’d be locked out. I wanted to drop my luggage around noon so I could see the sites without suitcase in tow but since there is no on site staff and no check in until 4 that was not possible. Please come up with a solution for travelers who need to store luggage. "

"Parking is easy, loads of spaces. Our room was huge, it was a shame there wasn’t a comfy chair to sit in, there was plenty of space for one. Comfy beds, a big tv and tea and coffee facilities were provided. It was an accessible room so the bathroom was huge with a shower. My only complaint was the noisy family upstairs, it was awful but there’s not much I could do about that. "Upon arrival the staff were very friendly. Greeted and explained everything including how if I take my card over to the restaurant I will get a discount on food, I have been many times before but never been told this. The card didn't work at first and the lady at reception worked quickly and efficiently to solve the issue and gave me a working card.
