"Beautiful views of Lake Windermere. Lovely old fashioned hunting lodge. Lovely big room and bathroom with separate shower and bath.Breakfast was chosen from a menu but took quite some time for order to be taken and meal to be served. Cocktails in the bar are a MUST. "

"The hotel room was lovely. Couldn’t fault it. Hotel its self is lovely. Nice chilled atmosphere. Where it lets itself down is food. Dinner on first evening was terrible. Chips hard and overcooked. Onion rings hard and dripping in fat. Mussels overcooked and way too salty. Breakfast next morning was lukewarm. "

"We had the most wonderful stay at Ambleside Townhouse. We stayed for 5 nights in the family room as it was the last room they had when booking. We were glad as it was a beautiful spacious room with two beds. We only used one which was a superking and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and even though we didn’t really need much they were always there to answer anything with a friendly reply. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. "We love this site in Windermere and Top Lodge was a pleasure to stay in. The rooms were all clean and the beds were comfortable. Looked for a pet friendly option and this was perfect for us. The weather wasn't great and so we watched alot of TV, the only downside was the signal was poor but hey, nothing major."

"As in previous reviews, no internet connection. Strangely able to get netflix on both bedroom tv’s but not on the main one. Lovely living space & bed very comfortable. Good location on site and all areas of park dog friendly. Would return. Could possibly get better quality frying pans. Both warped when using. "
