"Matera was absolutely breathtaking! The room was small but you can appreciate the history in which you are staying. Would have liked to use the pool but it cost extra and you need a reservation to use it. Breakfast was great! "

"We enjoyed everything about the hotel; friendly staff, convenient location, clean n big room except for 2 things : - the toilet is not enclosed ie it has no door. My husband and I had to take turn to leave the room when we want to use it. - the hotel did a fantastic job to notify us about options of parking. It was quite a task to drag our luggage up and down from the car park to the hotel along the cobblestone road. The hotel could have offered portal service to their guests especially for elderly guests"

The room was big and bright and prodivednfor anything we could've needed. Breakfast was good with numerous options. The grounds of the hotel are as beautiful as the historic center itself. It was also a great location close to restaurants in both parts of the historic area."

"The hotel is incredible and the staff is as well. We absolutely loved our stay. It was truly a unique experience. However, guests should know that because the hotel is literally incorporated into the caves, it can be physically demanding climbing all the stone stairs. People with mobility issues will definitely struggle at this hotel"
