" The host was so kind and attentive. The view from the bedroom window was brilliant. In the heart of the Icelandic countryside. Incredibly we were certain we even saw an arctic fox from the window although I was not quick enough in getting my 'phone to photograph it (and prove it !). "I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It doesn't look like much from outside but the room was great! Very clean, beds are very comfortable, bathroom was really spacious, everything was perfect. They have a very nice kitchen and a very cozy breakfast area with a really great coffee machine. "Lodgings in this area are generally expensive so the review is ignoring that aspect. The hotel is old but for most part it doesn’t seem dated. Room interiors were bright and very clean but bathroom can use minor refresh to fittings. Staff was very friendly and ready to help. "We had an issue with adding a payment to a reservation and we were met after hours at the door by the property owner. After finding out that we may not be incredibly comfortable with a shared bathroom, she offered an upstairs private apartment that slept our whole party. Great customer service and very kind lady.
