"Amazing setting and beautiful grounds Great place for wedding celebrations However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid. Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu"

"The hotel staff are good especially reception and the gym but the spa which I was looking forward to it Wasn’t great You have to pay extra so my husband couldn’t use the facilities even though I had 3 treatments Which were not great the therapists are only just out of training yet they charge full price I must admit I was lucky with my facial which was excellent But the whole spa experience is not worth the money"

"Wonderful stay. The setting is very peaceful and calm, after a 2 night stay we felt utterly replenished. The beds and pillows were large and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The spa is truly a gem here. Clean , was never crowded and relaxing. We never had any treatments but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Loved sitting outside the spa and eating after a relaxing spa session. Special mention to Victoria at the spa...

"The hotel was in a great location. Around a 20 minute drive from all the little trips we had planned on our weekend. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The rooms were very clean. A little outdated but clean. Comfy bed. Breakfast was good too. I would happily stay here again !"

The staff are friendly and efficient, the room was super with a comfy bed, large modern bathroom and spotlessly clean all around. "This hotel is in a very old Tudor style building with heaps of charm and quirkiness. This is a popular and busy pub/restaurant/hotel. Our room was on the top floor with access by stairs with high risers. The double bedroom was small with only one bedside table and no cupboards and only one stool so it is best suited to a one night stay. The room was clean and tidy with again the charm of an uneven floor which is not a problem just be aware. As the room is close to the roof it can get very warm...

The noise from passing trains and the station announcements continued until around midnight and started again at 5:00 a.m., making it extremely disturbing. The bathroom had no shampoo or soap provided, so we had to go to Tesco to buy our own toiletries.
