"Stayed 18th April, four of us girls, and it was just the perfect place after a full day hiking. The room was spacious, clean, and had nice little touches, biscuits, water, milk, which made a difference. Beds were really comfy, exactly what you need after a long walk. The spa was spot on, swim, sauna, jacuzzi, just what we needed to relax. Great value as all four of us could stay in one room, which made it more fun and easy. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, really welcoming and helpful throughout. Outside area was lovely too, perfect for sitting out and catching a bit of sun. Would definitely stay again."

"The staff were very helpfull. The person on reception carried my case up for me. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only problem I had was that I have leg problems and there is no lift. Because the hotel is 300 years old there is no way a loft could be installed. I'm glad I stayed there."

"The only 1 downside to our stay was the bathroom floor. It needs some maintains to repair a hole where it meets the corner of the bath. It made us a little weary of stay at the end of the bath when showering. Other than that our 2 night stay was great. We also eat in the restaurant, the food was delicious. 👍😁"

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty of loungers. Looking forward to our next stay. "

"Beautiful spot well situated for Keswick and Cockermouth. Near a busy road which makes access convenient but still feels quiet. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Felt like a lovely cosy retreat to come back to after a day out walking in the wind and rain. Breakfast was well organised, very tasty and there was a good amount of choice on offer. Service was very quick but never felt hurried or rushed. Peter and Katie were great hosts and had lots of tips and recommendations. Got in contact with us quickly when we left an item behind after checking out. "
