"The Black Buffalo is a real gem in Hobart. From the welcoming staff, spacious well appointed rooms to the on site bistro, this is accomodation at a very reasonable price point."

"Older property that lacks some modern amenities such as a room safe, a TV in the separate sitting area and we had to ask for a hand towel. The breakfast was adequate but even though we arrived when breakfast started, the food was cool to warm at best. This property wasn’t up to the standard we expected of a Rydges hotel."

"We were central to everything we needed to go to. Shops were a 5 minute walk, food was a 5 minute walk, Room was clean, tidy & comfortable. We had a birds eye view right across the city into parts of the harbour. Breakfast was enormous & delicious. Plenty to choose from. Very happy with my stay at the Travelodge Hobart!"

"Hadleys is a gorgeous old hotel but is starting to show a bit of wear and tear in the guest rooms. Nothing that would affect your stay, though. The front desk staff were lovely and very eager to help. The cleaners were a bit lax, doing the bare minimum. The bins were emptied and the towels replaces but they didn't replace mini bar items (which I'd have been charged for if I hadn't noticed) and they definitely didn't change the sheets. The staff in the bar weren't really on the ball. I ordered a tea but had to remind them then ask for milk and sugar to go with it. The hotel wasn't really accessible. There were steps at the main entrance and a disabled entrance with a lift but you needed to contact a staff member to operate the lift for you, so not really good for independent travel. No desk or space to eat in the hotel room."

"Staff super helpful. Hotel was nice, no fuss, nothing went wrong and well positioned. Better than Hotel Grand Chancellor and good value. "

"Great location but that’s where it ended. 3 night stay asked for room clean and was told I had to be there 4 days for that. One lift dead and others slow and came up with faulty message on screen often. Water pressure was drip feed level. "
