"This was my second time staying at the property on my Tasmania trip. Excellent location to the harbour and all the area has to offer. Shopping is also close by! The staff were very helpful, and I was able to leave a bag for a couple days when I was off doing Photography workshop!"

The room was quiet (just some sounds coming from outside on Saturday night) and quite clean (some used bottles left in the fridge and a couple of small dead insects in the bathroom). Our room (a superior one) was dark and did not have enough light either natural or lighting. The bathroom was great, modern but in the style of the hotel. The carpets were worn and didn’t give the best impression. Bar is popular early, but don’t expect a nightcap after 10 - even at weekends. Location is great and history is fascinating. Not sure it was worth over $300 a night excluding breakfast though. "
