"Great place with spacious rooms. Floor in the main lobby is also heated. Showers/bathrooms are clean with good water pressure. Check out time is a bit early which is the only downside (10am)"

"Loved the location of the cottages. So nice to sit on the couch and see a 180 view of the serene grounds. If there is more than 2 people, I would recommend getting 2 cabins. The bathroom is so petite and the upstairs small with steep stairs, I could not imagine more than 2 people in these cabins. That said though, they are really a fun place to stay. "

"Our stay was really peaceful. The location is ~2miles off of the main highway on gravel & we had a view of one of the larger waterfalls in the distance. Beds were comfortable. Pull out sofa was ok. Everything worked. Our sm 1 BR was well appointed. We stayed 2nts w/no issues. fyi: Hot water is not geothermal so there is a limit to the hot water usage. Check in was a breeze and there were ports to plug in an electric vehicle. "

"My wife and I had an excellent one night stay at Skalakot Manor Hotel as part of our 12 day tour of Iceland. The hotel was great, our room was really nice and the spa was fantastic! Staff and breakfast were great too. We did a one hour horse riding tour on the morning we check out which was delightful - would highly recommend it! Daria was our guide and she was great! "

"We stayed at 6 different places during our Iceland trip, and this was our favorite! The room was clean and spacious. Nice blackout curtains. The kitchen was small but functional. The "strange guy" chef offered delicious cakes for the guests, and there was also an option to dine in. We opted to bring our own food, but the dinner prepared at the guesthouse smelled so good! Breakfast was great too! Plenty of bathrooms. The best part about this place was the host! He was so friendly and upbeat!...
