"Slightly odd stay. The hotel is down a little lane. I didn't realise that there was a charge for parking until I arrived. You need to ring a bell to get in to the hotel and then you get let it. As I arrived there were some people who thought they had a room booked but the person working there could not find it. I was then checked in and taken to my room. "Where do I start we got to the hotel on the first night go to the room to find there was no bedding for the kids we got charged for breakfast the next day for the kids the staff are useless the pool was closed by 7pm even tho is stated it was open till 9pm all the carpets in the hall way were taped down or ripped up the place is a joke for the price we paid"

No AC in the midst of a heatwave, but the open windows cooled the room down quite a bit. We loved the boathouse decor and our room felt so comfy and cozy. Staff were great and helpful. "Rooms were spacious and lovely and nice outdoor area. Breakfast was nice and I got to sit in (lovely) separate dining area, as I had my Goldendoodle with me, which I was happy with, as it meant I could chill as he had lots of space to lie down. My only negative was we had to pay for parking at £13 (for 24 hrs I think). It was just an expense I hadn't expected. Other than that, everything was great. Would definitely go back if in that area again."

"The bedrooms were quite shabby. The carpet was stained, the TV remote didn't work, nor did the bathroom fan and the dressing table chair was worn through. In my husband's room the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and the wall heater was very marked and dirty. Every other guest we spoke to had similar stories.
