"The cleaner was listening at our door the morning of checkout. It was 9 am, and checkout isn't until 11. The room wasnt vacumed the previous guest's hair tie was in the middle of the floor. The oceanfront room windows were disgusting. The bed was comfortable, bars in the shower for safety, and the views were phenomenal."

"I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. "The hotel is in the middle of renovations, so there’s that. Great location and check in staff was friendly. For the price we paid for an oceanfront room, the room was ok. It had been updated, but there were cigarette ashes on our balcony and hair all over our room floor. The bathroom ceiling had mold. The neighbors that stayed near us Saturday night were obnoxiously loud til 4:30am, but that’s not the hotels fault. "

"The property is convenient to the beach, has plenty of parking, has a gym, pool and laundry room as well. The carpet on the halls smells and s stained and could use a good professional cleaning. Rooms are comfortable and have a kitchenettes. It was nice to have a fridge. Great staff. "
