My family and I stayed at this property and really enjoyed ourselves. I think our favorite parts of our stay were the screened in porch and the hassle free walk to the beach. Unfortunately one of our days got rained out but we felt safe and comfortable inside of the house.

The property is very comfortable and convenient to pool and beach with children. Very clean and so quaint. The pool is great but had a few little places where the concrete was a little rough around the drain. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

What a great find this was for our family. The Saltaire Cottages were phenomenal! Can’t say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend this place for a family that has small children. We will definitely look to stay again.

Saltaire Cottages was a great place to stay for a few days. It was cleaned and had what we needed for those few days. When you drive up it seems to be a little outdated. The inside of our cottage had been redone and it was fine. The location is great, right across the street with their own beach access. The beaches were not so crowded on any day that you felt like you were right on top of each other.

This property was a last minute find and we could not have been happier with the experience from start to finish. The convenience of booking and while we were there from the staff was excellent! Right on the water with a great view, the made everyone as comfortable as we could have wanted and more. Thank you, we are always sorry when we have to leave.

Great for families!

Amazing place for our family of 6. Very short walk to the beach, just across the road, which we took every day. Beautiful beach, not over crowded. Property has pool which looked nice but we didn't use as we were in love with the ocean.

My family of 5 chose a 2BR cottage on the second floor at Saltaire Cottages. We absolutely loved it; direct access to the beach, literal 10 more steps than the “ocean front” houses. Community pool was the perfect temperature and so clean. Property staff were onsite daily, but not too early or too late as to cause a disturbance. Laundry facilities onsite were a big plus so that we didn’t have to take pounds of sand home from the beach with us. Will recommend to our friends and family, and we would stay here again if we come back to OBX! Awesome little Gem, so glad we stayed!

Amanda was great! The pool is large and nice and the beach is right across the street, which is a plus. The property was very clean. However, the property is very dated, there is extremely limited storage for longer stays, the counter space in the kitchen is very small, which makes it hard to prepare meals. The layout in our rooms was very awkward, you had to go from one bedroom room to the other to get to and from bedrooms, bathrooms, and the main living area, or exit and enter from the outside doors. There is the distinct possibility that you could inadvertently get locked out of the back bedroom is you aren't paying attention.

Our stay was for a family vacation. Not being overly familiar with the area, this seemed like a good choice at a reasonable rate. The location was very good and the beach is a short walk across the road. There is a private entry to the beach that is not a very steep climb compared to some. The beach itself was very nice and not very crowded. The building is older and converted from a motel type setup into larger "cottages." While the building was older and could use some additional curb appeal, the inside of our rental was decently updated and very clean. The beds were comfortable and overall very spacious accommodations. With five people it was nice to have two bathrooms. Appreciated a complete kitchen with full sized refrigerator and Keurig. We were on the second floor so we did have to contend with a decent amount of steps. One immediate problem was the fact that we could not get in because the lock had issues. It took about 45 minutes to figure this out. Although there is something called an office, it is not like a hotel office that is regularly staffed. The lock glitched a few more times but we had a physical key by that time. Only other problem was the main bedroom TV did not work. These things should be checked prior to arrival. The guest is also responsible for moving garbage to the cans behind a garage. Not a huge deal but it is a pain on the last day when trying to get ready for departure. Overall, a pleasant place to stay and would do so again.

Lovely experience

Wonderful location in the Outer Banks. Across the street from the beach. Nice pool. Very cute, spacious and comfortable cottages with plenty of room for 2 couples!

Excellent location and roomy rooms!

This was our first time at this particular establishment, and we loved it! I am very partial to the "old-fashioned" motor courts, so I take into consideration that they are not shiny and new on the outside, but the renovations inside are beautiful and our 2-bedroom was very roomy. We had a balcony with an ocean view and it was so nice to be able to sit outside and the beach access is right across the street. There is a restaurant right next door, which is super convenient. I needed to reach out to Amanda a few times (general questions, nothing urgent) and she was quick to respond, helpful, and very friendly. I also met Pam who helps out and she was also super friendly! *The only thing I will note is that since it is right on the beach road, it can be a little noisy. Obviously, this has nothing to do with the cottage management, but is worth mentioning. This only affected me when I wanted to sit outside on the balcony and relax. It was not noticed while inside.* To sum up my review, I loved the whole vibe of the place and we WILL be returning!

Fantastic place with pool and beach access.

We had an awesome time at Saltaire Cottages. Great pool and access to beach. Room very clean. We loved our screened in porch. Staff was very helpful. Thanks for a fantastic trip. My wife and I took our 11 year old granddaughter and she had a blast and made a new friend too. Great memories. We’ll be back.
