"This place is a birder’s paradise. They have every tropical habitat you could want on the back trails, and proper guides to spot the birds. The rooms are very good, the front desk staff was charming. The views are spectacular. The feeders are jammed with birds. Only negative was that we were almost totally rained off for 24 hours, but that’s what can happen in a rainforest. I already want to return. "

I wanted to start by saying that the service was excellent even from before we reached the hotel. The communication with them was pretty fast. "This place was a gem, nice clean rooms with a kitchen. Our room was facing the volcano so that was a surprise. They had a bridge to walk over to get to breakfast, that was so cool for the kids. Breakfast was so good and fresh. I highly recommend. "

"We really liked the stay here. It had a great view and location right in town. The restaurant on site was very convenient with included breakfast each morning. They even arranged an early breakfast for us one morning as we had a tour leaving earlier than the opening time. Food was average, didn't wow me but did the job. We stayed in cabin 3 and it had a sewage smell from the minute we walked in that never left. We didn't experience this at our other lodgings in Monteverde or Manuel Antonio, so...
