"The hotel is very good and should be excellent. Unfortunately, it is let down in one area, the restaurant. We had issues at breakfast on both mornings as did others seated around us. I would describe the breakfast as โchaosโ. It is a shame because aside from that the hotel is very good. The check in staff were excellent and the spa is more than adequate."

"I had an overall pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham. The hotel is set in a lovely, peaceful location with beautiful grounds, making it a relaxing place to stay while still being conveniently located for Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswolds. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was straightforward. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the bed was particularly comfortable. However, there were a couple of areas that could have been better. The water pressure in the shower was quite weak and could definitely have been stronger. I also noticed some dust around the toilet area, so a little more attention to detail when cleaning the bathroom would have been appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable and relaxing. With a few improvements to the bathroom cleanliness and shower pressure, it would have been an even better experience."

"We returned from a very busy day at 10.30 to find that our room had not been serviced - we had not opted into the scheme whereby guests can forgo a clean and receive a voucher to be used in the bar. Miguel went out of his way to supply the required teas, coffees towels etc. Thank you for your help Miguel."

"We had a fabulous stay here. Unfortunately the lack of air-conditionng was a real issue in the heat. The room was clean but needs a refresh, And there was a lack of plugs and USB ports."

"Despite the incredibly hot weather and lack of aircon (due to the age of the beautiful building) our room was wonderfully cool. The lady on reception was so personable, polite and friendly, a joy to deal with. Perfect for visiting friends in Stratton Court Village."

"A tastefully developed pub with ample rooms, stylish appearance and appealing atmosphere. Dinner was a little disappointing (had the buttermilk chicken burger) which felt as if it had been pre-prepared/defrosted and reheated. May have just been an unlucky experience as generally the food reviews are very good and the breakfast was truly excellent and very fresh. Husband's burger was good. Staff very pleasant. We had a waterside suite which looked over the cricket pitch at the back so was quiet. Used it as a base to start the Thames Path walk at its source near Kemble."
