"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable."

"The double beds were comfortable pillows awful Had to change rooms for second night twin beds not large enough moved easily Pillows equally as awful . No walk in showers which make it difficult for people not able to use bath. Was told well if it’s only for one night did it matter and it was business people using hotel Room 111 opposite housekeeping i had to complain three times from 8am-10 for noisy chatter and Five staff were outside my door laughing and joking. "Sadly disappointing - cleanliness lower than expected; stains on furniture and bedding, rips in carpet, dusty and flickering light fittings, dust in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Air con in room not working; small fan already switched on in room upon arrival. Windows could not be fully opened (understandable due to health and safety) - but some were totally sealed due to being covered in layers of paint. Breakfast okay but dirty tables and cobwebs on walls. I’m not against dogs staying at any...

"Good location but very tired property. Staff mostly polite but not really engaged. Make you prepay for parking but do not care if there is no space to actually park. Toilet did not work and room servicing poor. Cooked breakfast and coffee was thankfully OK. Town itself is cute and best place to eat is the very popular Corn Mill, a 5 minute walk away from this property."

"We had the perfect stay. The Owls Nest was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. From the comfy bed, hot tub and the Webber bbq all made it so relaxing. Dog friendly which was a bonus. Jenny & Margaret were great hosts. We appreciated the special touches. We had such a lovely time that booked to go again before we left. Highly recommended."

"No check in information received, when I contacted the host was told ‘it’s not hard it’s left unlocked’ during our stay the host walked past us several times to feed the llamas head down, didn’t even say hello, text to ask how to use the gas fire during our stay and no response, was made to feel very unwelcome. Shame as the shepherds hurt is nice"
