"Lovely staff, decor a bit tired"

"It's situated in a great spot in a really vibrant friendly village The rooms on the 4th floor are very hot and they had no a/c of a fan available. The very small window only partially opened, enough for flies to come in but little breeze I recommended that the hotel provide the upper floors with fans always Had a good snack at the hotel Lots of places to go for dinner and drinks nearby"

"Room was very limited on space, but well thought out. Bed was adequate but not the most comfortable. There was only 1/2 a toilet roll supplied for a 3 night stay, no shower in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom fell off a couple of times. The balcony was nice to sit out on."

"Perfect location to explore the area. We were there for the Llangollen Round - a 35 mile event - and it was the perfect place to begin. We had an amazing outdoor space which we used all the time as the weather was kind to us. We ate outside too as there wasn't a table for 4 accessible without having to move furniture about in the lounge. "Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly."

"Property was really central to grocery stores and the riverside park. Easy to walk to so many areas of Llangollen. Property somewhat worn and needs a good paint job but wear and tear is understandable on a place that sees so many holiday makers. Great location, largish cottage with nice views from upstairs windows."

"We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable."

"Stayed one night the inn was nice and the staff very friendly. The food was good in the restaurant and a good breakfast. The car park was full when we arrived and my car was damaged overnight with no note left. "

"The property was pet friendly and my dog was made welcome. Lovely beer garden at rear which we were able to take advantage of due to the warm and sunny weather during our stay. Only a short walk (about 15 minutes) from the train station and and a lovely big park across the road from the hotel. Not much in Chirk though, with little more than cafes and bistros and bus service looks poor (up to 3hours apart judging by the timetables where provided) compared with other parts of Wales we’ve visited"

"Lovely, well maintained Victorian building with staff who go the extra mile to be welcoming and helpful. Parking is available though limited. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with roomy en-suite baths. There is a lot of traffic on the nearby roads, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise."

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"Just a short overnight stay in see concert. Just slept there. Warm inside hut. Bed perfect for one. Hot shower in morning. Woke up by peacocks squawking...fabulous"
