The lady on arrival was really welcoming, the girl looking after us for food was very attentive and the gentleman who welcomed us at breakfast was delightful. "Great views of the seaside, wonderful staff and really good location. The common areas are very welcoming, and the restaurant serves great food. Unfortunately, the windows were in poor condition and the noise from the road, the race course and the wind made it really difficult to relax during the day and to sleep at night. Earplugs 100% recommended. They also let the cold in at night, so don't be deceived by the high temperature in the rooms/building during the day."

"We had a lovely room with a sea view and lots of space and seating for our 3-day break. The staff were great and helpful when needed. However the whole place is looking a bit tired and in need of sprucing up. This did not detract from our stay and is reflected in the good rate we paid. We would certainly consider staying again ."

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...
