Hotels in French Quarter, Charleston

"This is such a beautiful location. Nice hotel but needs maintenance and updating. There was damage on the ceiling of my room. The repair was noticeable and messy. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work. There is a nice balcony, comfortable bed and great view. "

"The room was extremely small and lacked wardrobe space Drawers didnt shut properly Only 1 gown for 2 people. Room service poor"

"The stay started badly. The room was full of fruit flies. I told the staff about it on my way out to dinner, i was told they would take care of it. Came back to the room after 12 and the flies were still in there. They were surrounding outside of the room door as well. I called customer service and responded immediately. This was arround 1:45am. He came and helpef move us to another room. Around 7am i got up to use the restroom and there was a roach on the bathroom flloor and no hot water for the first 10 minutes. We paid roughly $600 a night. Management was very apologetic. I will not be staying there again."

"Shower was not hot. Room was not refreshed, had to ask. I thought breakfast was included, but it wasn't. The breakfast/lunch counter was sub par. "

"Poor Hotel stay. We were not impressed given the cost of the room. We arrived early only to find out that they will NOT let you check in early unless you pay extra for this. So don't plan on getting in before 4 pm. They told us they would call us when the room was ready but never did. The room looked like it had been used by college students for the last several years. The chair was disgustingly dirty and broken, lamps broken, furniture dirty, drawers misaligned and shaky. The property at best a 2 star. No beach chairs except to rent, no beach towels provided. Very lack luster. The balcony was for standing only, no chairs or tables to relax and enjoy the waves. The door to the patio looked like it was broken many times and rigged so that it would close/lock for inspection. Not worth the money. Stay elsewhere."

"This hotel was exceptionally clean and inviting, modern new furniture, bright white sheets and pillowcases, beautiful and clean towels... The staff was wonderful, specifically Sunshine and Sydney! Both very pleasant, friendly, and respectful, a beautiful example of southern hospitality!!"
