Add the free car park, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and comfortable rooms, plus the big choice of places to eat within half a mile, and you have the ideal hotel to stay in when visiting the Portsmouth area."

"The breakfast was fantastic, definitely one of the best.There was loads of choice both hot and cold. Plus the chef was more than willing to make my scrambled egg with Oat and not Cow’s milk. The property was on a bus route and the bus stop was close by. I had booked this property as I was attending the Wickham Festival and pleasantly suprised to discover that the entrance was a 12 minute walk. "

"Cannot fault this property at all, the hosts are so welcoming and love that you get a tour around the facilities. We booked the spa for my partners birthday and it is a little slice of heaven! Then we played a few games of pool in the bar/lounge area before heading to our room. The area is great, permit parking super easy outside the property, and great recommendation for breakfast the following day (Farm Kitchen). "Friendly, clean awesome breakfast"

"Room was clean, spacious and nicely furnished, modern but in keeping with the age and style of the building. Breakfast was fantastic, with a really nice menu to choose from. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Soutsea and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend paying the extra for a parking bay at the front of the hotel as street parking could be tricky. We stayed to visit family in Southsea and will definitely use this hotel again!"

"Very conveniently located for shopping, restaurants, the Historic Dockyard and transport services to the Isle of Wight. Parking was easily accessible and convenient in the very close by multi storey. We did need to move room during the stay due to a water leak from the room next door. We were out for the day when this happened but the staff moved everything and kept us fully informed along the way. Really excellent service! "

"Very good location. Pub staff very friendly and professional particularly Alex who was excellent. Nice menu with a variety of options all prepared and presented extremely well. Nice room, but did have to ask for a change of sheets after 6 days. Would also have liked a grab bar in the shower. My wife and I are seniors and were nervous about slipping. However, have to say the shower was the easiest to use of any hotel we have stayed in. Highly recommended !"
