"We travelled to Whitley Bay from York to attend a family funeral and booked this hotel for an overnight stay. We were looking for a small family run hotel with personal service and that is what we got. A lovely spacious newly refurbished bedroom with on suite, and all that we would wish for although not needed, even a microwave! The management could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Cooked English breakfast was superb. Highly recommended."

The highlight is the convenience location for a short drive or public transportation away from town, but two things are inconvenient: the hot water for showers only lasts a short time, and the breakfast options are very limited for the price I paid."

Smelt like fresh current cigarette even tho there’s no smoking signs. Would absolutely not stay here!!!!!!! My clothes all smelt the next day. I backpacked Thailand and nothing was this gross. "
